BSS is delighted to welcome Dr Robert Coles to our advisory board.

In a career that has included partnership at KPMG, CISO roles with Merril Lynch, National Grid, GSK,  NHS, and Willis Towers Watson, Robert has been an industry leader and key thinker for more than 35 years. Robert now has a portfolio career including: CISO Advisory roles to the Government of Singapore Healthcare System and a Fortune 500 company; and Non Exec roles such as NED Chair of Think Cyber Security, Governor/Trustee and Chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee of the University of Brighton, Chair of the Royal Holloway University of London Executive Advisory Board for the Information Security Group, and formerly being a NED Chair for Crossword Consulting and NED for Crossword Cybersecurity PLC.

Robert is passionate about driving innovation to close gaps in cyber security, and ensuring that we have a pipeline of well-educated and competent resources who can manage our defences today and become the cyber leaders of the future. He continues to undertake research into mental models of cyber security, has close relationships with a number of universities where he lectures and teaches, and develops and mentors a number of aspiring CISOs.
